Rocky Horror Halloween Show

The members of BARS developed an affinity for The Rocky Horror Picture Show through their drummer, Anthony Angelina. Years prior to joining the band, Anthony had performed the show at local theaters and shadow casts. He shared the idea of the band performing the music live in 2019. The first performance was a smash. The band brought the show to life; from the playful interplay of Brad and Janet in “Dammit Janet” and “Over at the Frankenstein Place,” to Frank-N-Furter’s fishnet-fueled swagger in “Sweet Transvestite” and “I Can Make You A Man,” and onward to Eddie’s road-hog roaring rock ‘n’ roll “Hot Patootie.” And, of course, setting their clocks in reverse and doing the “Time Warp” all over again. What started as an idea in 2019 has become a tradition and one of BARS’ favorite nights to perform.

It is with heavy hearts that we recognize the impact Tim Curry’s passing may have on the creative community; and especially on the community that loves and cherishes his performance as Frank-N-Furter. His portrayal in both the stage and film versions of The Rocky Horror Picture Show helped create something that has endured and inspired generations. We dedicate BARS’ 2026 performance to his memory, and to the undeniable mark he left on Rocky Horror and all of us who continue to celebrate it.

We are happily joined by opening acts Rebecca Zimmerman (solo) and Kickstand Dismount. So come dressed to impress, leave your inhibitions at the door, and get ready to do the “Time Warp” . . . AGAIN!
