Rogê

Latin Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Rogê is one of Brazil’s most vibrant contemporary voices, blending samba, soul, funk, and MPB into a warm, groove-driven sound. Born in Rio de Janeiro and now based in Los Angeles, he has built a growing international audience through dynamic touring across North America and Europe.

His recent albums Curyman (2023) and Curyman II (2024), featuring legendary arranger Arthur Verocai, mark a defining new chapter in his career. In 2026, Rogê continues touring Curyman II, joins Verocai for special performances, appears at the Greek Theatre with Thee Sacred Souls, and performs at Grand Performances after receiving the City of Los Angeles COLA Artist Fellowship.

Known for his joyful, high-energy shows and soulful voice, Rogê carries the spirit of Brazilian music to audiences worldwide.

Ensemble Novo

For over a decade, Ensemble Novo has celebrated the windswept melodies and perpetual-motion rhythms of Brazil with audiences in the Philadelphia area.

The five-piece instrumental band explores samba, bossa nova and Musica Popular Brazil (MPB) through the language of improvisation, creating a sound that’s propulsive and celebratory at the same time. Initially inspired by saxophonist Stan Getz’ landmark bossa nova collaborations of the 1960s, the group has gone on to explore a century of Brazilian song, creating expansive updates of early samba classics, sentimental radio ballads and progressive regional styles from Northeast Brazil, among others.

Ensemble Novo has released five recordings; selections from these have been featured on WXPN-FM and WRTI-FM as well as stations in Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, the Netherlands and across the globe. In a review of two EPs released in 2017 – Look to the Sky  and Who Saw You Then, Who Sees You Now?, The Vinyl District raved “Together these two mini-albums put a playful spin on some of the world’s most welcoming music, Brazilian pop from the 1960s and 1970s. They are executed with a jazz touch and musical virtuosity by musicians who may not be household names, but deserve to be.”
